Behind The Blogger: It Will All Make Sense Someday

Four years ago, I jumped on the foster care roller coaster by taking classes and making several life changes that have stuck with me to this day. I changed over my guest bedroom to a little girls bedroom, and locked up all of my medicine and chemicals as well as made a major job change from hotel manager to marketing manager. In the last 4 years, there have been a number of children who have either been carried through or walked through my door and some have been harder to let go than others.

Two years ago, I was still struggling with the loss of my baby girl but I knew deep down that “It Will All Make Sense Someday”. Well, that day has come. I was notified today, that the case for my current littles was transferred to the adoption unit. It’s been a long journey, but one that I would not change. I love these two more than anything in this world. When they came in this door, they were a mess. Stinky, hungry, crying and scared of everything. Now, for the most part they are healthy, normal, happy toddlers.

I guess in the end it did make sense… I was meant to be their mom and I am more than happy to do that.

I got chills reading this! Although nothing eases the pain of losing a child, something I have been through myself, I know that there was a calling for you to be the mommy to these two beautiful children!
    Loved your post! xox
